Yantras are usually constructed with a bindu (drop) or center spot, representing the essence of essence, the spark at the center of an atom or star, of a soul, or godhead. Yantras embrace all these possibilities at once: inner and outer, vast and minuscule are all implied. Focusing the eye on this “essence of essence” allows the periphery to speak to awareness, to assemble and disassemble itself, to unfold in both subtle and spectacular ways over the time of receptivity.
